RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande has expressed a clear preference to join Paris Saint-Germain over Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window. The 19-year-old Ivorian, who impressed with 23 goal contributions last season, revealed his childhood admiration for PSG during a recent interview.
Yan Diomande has confirmed his preference to join Paris Saint-Germain amid ongoing transfer interest from Liverpool. The 19-year-old RB Leipzig winger recorded 23 goal involvements in 36 Bundesliga appearances last season and has been targeted by both clubs ahead of the summer window.
Diomande cited his lifelong admiration for PSG as a major factor in his decision. “Paris Saint-Germain is a team I’ve loved since I was a child. My father supports Paris Saint-Germain, and it’s a team I admire as a football fan,” he said. He added that language and cultural familiarity would ease his adaptation in Paris.
Despite his transfer preference, Diomande stated he is currently focused on the World Cup and is not making immediate decisions about his future. “After that, the clubs will sort things out between themselves and we’ll see what happens next,” he remarked.
